A Rep's Life | Lanzarote

Hello you gorgeous people, It's been a while! I do greatly apologise, however, you do know where I've been! Now, as a quick introduction, I know I have always been a fashion and beauty blogger, however I really cannot continue that with my job. I will hopefully have time for it one or two months out of the year when I am back in England, but for now, it's sadly goodbye. However, that doesn't have to mean goodbye to the blogger in me. So I am thinking this is time for the great switch around, in making this more of a pure lifestyle blog, and it more detail, a blog about my 'Rep's life'.
(If this no longer has your interest, I suggest you turn away.... Now).

As some of you will know, I began my journey April last year when I jetted off to Cyprus to become one of those 'Holiday Advisors'. Now unfortunately, again, as some of you will know, I did not have the best experience. The people I worked with out there turned into vile, disrespectful people and this, did result in my early release back to the UK. The entirety of the 3 months I spent back at home over Christmas I was persistent I would never return to the job role as I believed every season would be the same. Plus, I had a job, a long-term boyfriend and a brand new baby God-Daughter. Then I woke up one morning, about 2 weeks before I was due to fly out, and thought 'You know what, I'm off!'

I have never been so nervous in my life. Not just about the fact this season could be the same, but also incase any of this new staff would've heard bad rumours about me from last year. I boarded the plane with pure caution (and 2 suitcases 8kg too heavy) and began my journey part two.

Now I'm not going to bore you all with the training week but I will tell you all one thing:

NEVER let past experiences get in the way of new ones.

Last year only left me with a poor bank account, mosquito bites and a bad impression of both people and seasons. Yet taking that under the wing, biting the bullet and giving it a second chance was the best decision I have ever made.

Not only are the people out here like my new little family, but I have fallen in literal love with this island. Lanzarote is, to put it simply, the most gorgeous, scenic place.

If you ever get the chance to visit, go. I'm worried I'll never want to leave here when I get moved in November. We'll see.

So from this point on, it'll be blog posts with updates, outings, funny work stories, nights out and just general chitter chatter from some who works abroad and is loving her life.

  1. I actually can't wait to see what it's like, I'm excited for the change! As a fashion and lifestyle blogger i've always preferred writing about the life side rather than outfits. I'm not trying to bring it down but it can get a little boring to read sometimes, this seems a lot more fun!! I hope you're having an awesome time it sure sounds like it.
