Rudolph | Nails How To

It's the town where I work's Christmas light switch on today, and still right up to this moment, no matter what I do, no matter how many mince pies I eat, I just cannot get into the Christmas spirit!
I know that sounds so 'Bah Humbug' of me, but usually I'm Christmas Jolly by November 1st. Christmas is always amazing for me as around the same time is my birthday and mine and Will's anniversary, so what is wrong with me this year I do not know! I know I am very poor at the moment, meaning I literally cannot afford to go Christmas shopping, or go to Christmas parties or buy the entire Christmas range at Lush, so that may be the answer! But still, there MUST be some way!

So, I thought, the snowflake nails last week were Christmassy and all, but you can't go wrong with trying some Rudolph's!!

So, I whacked on out my red, black and white nail art pens along with my Barry M 'Mushroom 310' and Barry M 'Gold 289'.  I painted my nails with the Mushroom, adding white nails and some nice big red noses (like mine resembles in the winter season). Adding some black pupils at the bottom of the eyes (to make them look dopey), some gold antlers and some shine on the nose there you have 10 dopey looking Rudolphs, so quick, simple and easy, a matter of dots and spots.

The BIG question,
What are you doing to get into the Christmas Spirit?

Frosty Touch | Nails How To

Every Monday I'm like 'wooo Monday Manicure day!' Then I get into watching something like Fresh Meat or Misfits or Breaking Bad and it turns Tuesday. And there's something that feels wrong about posting a Manicure post on a Tuesday, damn television!
So I thought, since the snow is apparently on it's way, why not get into the frosty spirit on my nails?!
It's a really quick and simple one to do, and I think looks super cool (haha get it?!) and fitting.

So without further ado, the step by steps:

The Varnishes I used were Barry M in Hologram 244, Barry M in Blue Moon 317 and the Models Own white nail art pen.

Starting off with a clear few coats of the blue, topping with a few coats of the glitter to spread an even coverage. I think that already gives you a 'Brrrr Frosty' effect, but I felt it needed a few frosty flakes as well, which I did with my Models Own pen, and a not so steady hand.

Anybody have any other wintery nails ideas?
They make me feel all Chrsitmassy!!

Nails How To - Fair Isle

White Nail Art Pen - Models Own
Red Nail Art Pen - Claire's Accessories
White Nail Varnish - Barry M
Red Nail Varnish - Barry M

Warning: This pattern did take an awful amount of time to do. Roughly 1.5-2 hours.
I have shown you the first 2 nails, the rest of the nails are done the same way as the previous. The thumb's pattern is identical to the middle finger and little finger. And the Index and Ring finger are the same. This is the PERFECT Christmas nail pattern, and yes, I feel ridiculous only just posting this now (I have been meaning to for weeks, sorry!)

Cheeky trip home

Now, firstly, I apologise for this poorly laid-out post. I have absolutely no idea how to blog using only the iPhone app as this is my first time. Secondly I apologise for the lack of posts lately. I took a spontaneous trip back home to visit my family and best friend and have no computer!

On Sunday, myself and my brother and dad went to watch our Rugby team, London Irish, play. Disappointing results but I won't bore you all with rugby talk.

I am visiting until Thursday however I am reluctant to leave, I get super homesick when back in London. But I am so glad I've been spending quality time with my mum, even if we have just been cleaning the house.

I also let my best friend do my Halloween nails, and considering this was the first time she's ever attempted nail art, I think she didn't do a too shabby job!!

I'll be back to post normally on Thursday and also put up my giveaway! (Hopefully.. Anyone else meant to have been paid a week ago and still have an empty bank account?! :'()

Raspberry Reasons

Now we've broken into the wonderful season that is Autumn, I think it's time to whack out the burgundy! Well, this nail shade is actually 'Raspberry', but just dark-reddy shades in general are a must!
I am a MASSIVE lover of Barry M nail paints as they come in such wonderful colours, the only thing about them is they take a while to dry, but when they do they look fab!

The Nail Enamel with shimmery bits in I've coated the Barry M colour with was actually picked up for me by my nan, at a little boot fair or somewhere, as nan's do. Which is a pain really, as I love it and now do not know where I can repurchase! Luckily, she got it for me in both a pinky shade AND a silver, win!

I can't believe that'd I've gained so many followers already, it's incredible! As you all know, I was planning a 100 follower giveaway, which I still am, as soon as I get paid :)
I get paid any day in the next few days, and when I do, it's straight to the shops to pick up some lovely buys that all of you beautiful bloggers deserve!

Red and Black Ballerina

Dress - Dorothy Perkins - £20
Ring - Dorothy Perkins  - £1
Necklace - Dorothy Perkins - £2
Nails - Barry M Raspberry £2.99
Shoes - Primark - £8

Last weekend I went to visit my family and my best friend for my brother's birthday. However for me, home trips always turn into shopping trips. Going to town with my mum and best friend is always lethal, even though it isn't that a big a town.

This dress is one my friend picked up, and I was all 'I'll try it on with you!' I ended up buying the beauty. Well, I say me, my beautiful boyfriend paid as he's lovely with surprises like that! I think it's beautiful as the red-black contrast works and the skirt of it puffs out in like a 1950's style. I also love the ribbon waist.

The ring my mum pointed out, as you know, I am a massive pug lover, but am aso a MASSIVE rabbit lover. I'll maybe introduce you to my gorgeous late bunny Humphrey one day.. (He was bigger than a dog!) Anyways, for £1 I could hardly say no, it's way too cute!!

I bought a few other bits and pieces too, which I think I'll do in my next post, as I am still new to blogging and don't want to run out of things to blog about already!

And again, thank you all so much for following me! It really does make me grin like Cheshire Cat! Who's feeling a 100 followers giveaway? I know I am! :)

Multi-Pastel Bobble

I would being lying if I said I wasn't nervous, as this is my first official 'outfit post'. Although, it isn't so much an outfit post as a 'hat and nails post'. This is purely for the fact that, being cameraless, these are taken on an iPad, and using timer is an issue.

Firstly, I'd like to start with a 'how awesome is this hat?!' I found it in a charity shop a few days ago for £1.50!! Bargain! I love the multicoloured pastel wool used and the huge bobble on the top. It reminds me of that 'special wool' we used to be allowed to use occasionally for crafts in Primary school.

The lipstick I am wearing in a hot-pink shade in unlabelled packaging. I picked it up at a Car-boot sale a few weeks ago (It was completely sealed, don't worry!) I liked the colour, and still do, however it does feel a bit 'wet' on my lips and comes off quite quickly.

I painted my nails using Barry M 'pink silver glitter - 337' and Models Own 'Ibiza Mix - Hk04' on the thumbs. You have to use several layers of the Ibiza mix if you're not layering it on top of another colour, which I haven't done properly here as I was running out of time whilst doing them. Whoops.

And lastly, the polo shirt I am wearing, am practically LIVE in nowadays!! I was going through super old clothes my Mum had from years and years ago that she wanted to put in a car-boot sale and found it, needless to say, I nabbed this one up before it went in!

Thank you to all of my new followers since my last post, it means so much to me and I'm so glad I'm getting into blogging!

My week with Instagram

1. Organising the payment of our house's shop. 2. My poor shattered nails. 3. The love of my childhood. 4. An old friendship reunited. 5. My mother's glitter nail varnish I used. 6. £16 of Indian food for myself. 7. Mermaid nails. 8. Returning home to finding my pants hung about the house. 9. The perks of being a wallflower. 10. I work at Dominos. 11. Too. Much. Free. Pizza. 12. A selfy. 13. Lunch at the Harvester. 14. Tartan. 15. Barry M magnetic nail varnish. 16. London Irish supporter right here!!

I really want to get into proper blogging. And I will. It's just lack of a decent camera. And lack of money for any nice things. Plus I've been working a lot. Things in life will come together soon though. I hope.

No raindrops, just Roses

Barry M - Aqua Green - 285

I'm fairly new at this 'nail art' thing. I see all of these amazing and creative designs online and wish more than anything I could do such things! But, that doesn't mean I can't try!
These are my attempts at Roses, using 2 shades of green Barry M's and 2 pink standard nail-art pens.
Took a slight while, and also far to long to dry, as they got ruined within a few hours, but they were nice while they lasted.
Lesson is, I may have to invest in a better top-coat varnish.

On another note, I have an extremely bad throat infection which has inflamed all of the glands down my body causing me quite a bit of pain. On the bright-side, my boyfriend's taking me to see 'Ted' tonight and I couldn't be more excited!
